I have an idea for a place but I don't know the name of it, need to find out from a friend who took me there last time but it's in Georgetown right on the Potomac. Lunch is still on & I'm looking forward to it! Will let you know details once I know the place...

I like Chinese, et al, but Indian food and I don't get along too well http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif. Never had Jamaican.

Burkey: Have you gotten train reservations yet? Need to change mine.

burkey Dec 12, 2000 8:23 am

Mark -- Here's the train details:

12/17 #153 PHL 30th - WAS Union 9:32a-11:35a
12/18 #148 WAS Union - PHL 30th 5:40p-7:13p

Depending on what time I finish, I may try and get on #178 on the return if time allows.

For lunch, just waiting for the place from Anna. And for dinner, naxos, what ever you think is best... Not much of an Indian fan myself, but Jamacian does sound good.

I am. First choices would be Chinese or Mexican, other than that, I'm open to try just about anything.

I'm in for dinner!

Have a good time. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Burkey, smessier & markbach:

I will also send emails to you but here are the details for lunch on 12/17:

Sequoia's
3000 K St. NW
(202) 944-4200

I made the reservation for 12 noon on Sun. and this restaurant is in Georgetown right on the Potomac. Please email me to let me know that you can make it.

Any plans for post lunch activities?

Noon is probably going to be too early for me - I am thinking of getting to DCA around 12:30-1:00 to check in for my 18:40 flight and drop off my luggage. That would put me in the GT area around 14:00.

Anna: I'll try like the dickens to stop by and say hi, but I've been told that I have a very full schedule (including a sunday night family get-together http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif)this weekend by the boss. But I'll see if I can swing by Sequoia sometime between noon and one on sunday!!!

markbach Dec 15, 2000 7:39 pm

Have we decided on a venue for dinner yet?

Also, what are the dress codes for these restaurants? Golf shirt and Jeans (my usual college student attire http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif) or do I need to break out the kahkis and button down and god forbid a tie?

SMessier: email me, and i'll give you my cell number if you want to still come into the city fpor a while.

Well, well... just got in from MSY after an equiptment delAAY for 3 hrs in DFW only to find a message on my machine from GW with something about a problem with faculty members for this Mondays interview day. So they left a contact number to get ahold of someone tomorrow, so as soon as I see what in the heck is going on, I'll give you guys an update.

burkey Dec 16, 2000 10:53 am

GW cancelled this Monday's interview day because "other obligations" popped up for a lot of the faculty that were doing interviews for the medicine program. So it looks like I'll be rescheduling for sometime late January.

I hate to bail out, but it looks like I won't be coming down to DC now... which just sucks. I'll get in touch by email with you guys.
