BLADE Dec 28, 1999 12:38 pm

My Santa apparently knew all about my wife's sweet tooth. A little "Death by Chocolate" never hurt anyone, I guess.

Thanks Santa (Canonlaw)

Thanks Samantha!

OK, OK...since Secret Santa is not as secret as I had expected, I'll fess up.

jetsetter, I'm the one who sent you the Australian wine. Hope you enjoy; I've only got 1 more bottle left from that case & it's been excellent.

I'd love to thank my Secret Santa publicly, but he/she has chosen to remain anonymous.

I THINK I know who it is, but not totally sure. My Santa not only sent me a great bottle of wine, but also included a United Confirmed North American Upgrade cert.

Thanks again, XxxxXx/Xxxxxxxx... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif
(and if I'm wrong, I apologize).

Thanks David for playing Santa...

And thanks to my Santa for the aromatic buckwheat head-rest pillow. It'll come in handy.

Santa Dec 28, 1999 3:09 pm

Burkey: Who's "David"?

Santa needs a volunteer elf to play Acting Santa next week to help resolve a few issues with the Global Gift Exchange. Any takers - please e-mail me at [email protected].

OK, Santa, thank you for setting up the GGE. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

First, thank you Santa for all your efforts!

Second, thank you Punki for the wonderful "John Sarich's Food & Wine of the Pacific Northwest".

I was first a bit concerned by the fact that I have not received anything by the 27th. However, I came home late 28th and there was the package! Nevertheless, Punki/Santa were tracked down the UPS package and the tracking says that it actually arrived on the 22nd and was released by "Jenkins". Who's Jenkins and what was he doing with it for the six days? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Punki Dec 29, 1999 4:16 pm

Ah Ha! That tricky Jenkins was out cooking delicious (but deceptively simple) gourmet Pacific Northwest foods for Christmas, accompanied of course by St. Michelle's best. (Look for the pages with food stains.)

Unlike Rudi's cookbook, with this one, dress is optional. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Rudi Dec 29, 1999 4:42 pm

that PIP-gift-cookbook to the newly wed did impress you, didn't it?

Punki Dec 29, 1999 10:16 pm

Oh, Rudi, such thoughts shock an old woman's sensibilities. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Still waiting for my Secret Santa gift, but I suppose it takes longer to swim across the ocean. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Scott the flier Dec 30, 1999 10:16 am

AuH20: How did you know my great Coach Wallet exploded from the many credit card receipts and coupons!! THANK YOU GOLD!!! I'LL TREAT YA TO A DRINK FOR BEING MY SECRET SANTA!!

AND THANK YOU DGOLDS FOR ORGANIZING THIS!!! I HOPE IT BECOMES AN ANNUAL TRADIATION!

Punki Dec 31, 1999 4:12 pm

To the handsome, and lucky, lucky, lucky Ken and the beautiful and charming (source of his great fortune) Danielle , there is actually a bottle of St. Michelle wine that goes with the book, but my shipping department advised me (at the last minute) not to send it because bottles were restricted on the Y2K list. (read Y2Krazy)list.

So the next time we hook up in real life, I'll bring the bottle. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

For those of you who haven't been lucky enough to meet them, this young couple (Ken and Danielle) is a shining example of joy and hope for the 21st Century! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Meeting them has definitely brightened our lives.
