I escaped SFO last night. Currently in the air DL275 DTW-NRT connecting to DL167 arriving just after midnight 11 Jan -> Aerotel T1. Anyone else coming in early but skipping the pre-DO?

I'll be flying in midnight Jan 13, but I'm leaving the morning of Jan 15, so I can take part in the Jan 14 stuff. How late will people be at the Newton Hawker Center? edit: And if anyone is down for splitting a room, let me know :p |

Edit: I'm referring to LPQ, not SIN They put different parties in the same van and then drive you to the individual hotels. They have ATMs right outside the airport building. Visa costs vary (depending on country of origin), add 1USD for handling + 1 USD if you don't have a passport size photo. |

Travel Kane and I just arrived in Luang Prabang. I looked into river tours. It is $63 to charter a boat for a full-day (9a-3p) tour, rain or shine. For dinner tonight, my recommendation is Manda de Laos. It's the highest rated Lao restaurant in town. Not sure when everyone wants to meet, but a 6:30 dinner would give us time to check out the night market afterwards.
Update: am making a 6:30 reservation at the restaurant. It's on the Maison Dalabua hotel property. Will also reserve river tour for tomorrow. Seems that there will be 5 of us tonight and 6 tomorrow for the boat trip, assuming Chrisphx is in. |
