May he RIP. And may the family and friends for whom he cared deeply find solace in the love and appreciation he had for them in life.
He never much agreed with me on matters in OMNI, but his presence there made it lively for me and many others who will no longer have him to debate there or stake out a side. I didn't know he was ill and it saddens me to know his absence here was due to that. I was wondering where he had gone since I no longer encountered his posts like before. Of the things I'll most fondly remember about him, it won't be the OMNI PR stuff; it will be his discussions about his family. |

I had noticed a decrease in his posts and wondered what had happened to him. Condolences to the family.
I had wondered where he was as we had some good back and forths with many eye roll but all in good fun we were all there for a common interest I'm really bummed about his passing |
Anyone know what his favorite drink was?. I may have to have one on him tonight and raise my glass in memory.

Never had the pleasure, but my prayers and thoughts also.

We'll miss him. In fact, we already miss him.

I'll definitely miss the lively back and forth he brought to the spirited discussions in PR.
"Uncle Sam's FAVORITE Nephew" :D |
RIP, Jim. He was a veteran, patriot and a true family man, as well as a friend. I'll miss him.

There was a time that I read Omni regularly. These days I don't.
When I think of UP, I always think of the song that I hear every so often on the hard rock oldies station. While I didn't always agree with his Omni post, they were certainly entertaining. Like many posters here, you feel that you know someone, even if you've never met them. I knew of UP's issues. Also his adopted daughter.
