However, I did notice that hotels seemed to be a bit more expensive than I'd anticipated. We got the JW Marriott (the older one) for a total of 4,920.00 AED (inclusive of tax) for 6 nights. A lot cheaper than Austin :D |
Just an update...
An FT member has been able to negotiate some good rates at Hyatt, Starwood and Ritz Carlton properties, and these will be available for attendees. Leave a message here if you're interested. I've now booked into the Sofitel Jumeirah. I had a load of Accor points to use up, so saved a lot. |

To be honest, this event is not overly subscribed at the moment, with only me and my other half 'confirmed'.
So, rather than have a formal event, it's probably better that we just arrange to meet up somewhere nearer the time. We're intending doing the Westin Friday Brunch as a change from he Park Hyatt. So, if anybody is interested in this, please go ahead and book. |

I'm going to be flying through DXB on my way home from the INN DO, but unfortunately a few days too late. I land in Dubai early morning on 9/30, and leave at 0245 on 10/1 (so a 20 hour or so layover). Would love to see if anyone is around and able to meet up then!
