As discussed in the SIN Do thread, a few of us will be catching up for drinks on Thursday night before the do proper kicks off.

Venue: Meet in the Conrad foyer at 7pm.

I'm copper as it might be put, but I shall tip a few in the AKL Koru Club in solidarity as I make my way up there.

Thank you for the invitation. I have a dinner-date already. If it's a kick-on somewhere, I may be able to make it, but unlikely.

I would like to join as long as I'm still awake. Been travelling for 2 days. I've never been to the Hyatt, so would be happy to join you in the lounge if someone can guest me in.

The Grand Hyatt club lounge works for me, but I'm willing to travel if that's the plan.

I arrive today but didn't think there was anything planned for tonight so heading off to stay in Holiday Inn Batam.

I think there are a few more Conrad people than GH people. If there is no reason against this, I suggest we meet in the Conrad lobby at say 7pm. We can stay for drinks or go to get dinner somewhere.

Excellent idea.. Given good flying weather between BKK and SIN, I'll be in the lobby at 7:00.

Any of the GH people interested in meeting at 6;30 in the GH lobby and sharing a cab or leading a subway transfer?

I land at SIN at 6:20PM and am staying at the Conrad. I doubt there is enough time to make it by 7:00PM, but I'll try to join you if I can.

I'm coming from work, so will likely head straight to the Conrad form Marina Bay. I may be later than 7pm. After all this is Singapore :p

A subway transfer is not hard. To minmise walking I would take the Red NorthSouth line from Orchard to Dhoby Ghaut, then then transfer to the Yellow City Circle line to Promenade station. Take exit B.

The Conrad is a few metres from there.

AFAIK, there isn't an underground walkway the whole way, but it is very minimal walking outside.

lowjhg had a bar suggestion, but I can't remember what it was, so we can ask him on the night.

If possible for someone to post on this thread what everyone ends up doing (staying at the Conrad or going out somewhere), that would be helpful. I'm guessing I'll get to the Conrad at around 7:15 or 7:30, and I'll check this thread to see where everyone is.

Indeed, it was good flying weather this morning BKK-SIN. Landed late morning and now checked into the Sheraton Towers. Looks like I'll be attending drinks/dinner this evening. Will meet up with the Hyatt folks, in their lobby, by 6:30 pm. and will keep an eye on the thread for any changes.

Updated to here - confirming it is likely that I will be late, as it has been a hectic morning.

I'm at NTU and would love to join! I have class until 1830 but I try to be there by 730 @ the latest.

I hope to get there. I still have a couple more places to try and visit this afternoon.

I'm checked in as well, heading out for a bite to eat.
