I'd say not that bad... but then I don't know about Yuropflyers story! Anyway, if you come to the ZRH Stammtisch you might meet the "owner". He shows up once or twice a year.

Unfortunately (or rather: fortunately :cool:) I will be missing the next two Stammtisch dates in March and April as I will be on holiday on both occasions. But I have marked May, 27 in my calendar already. ^

May 27 is frantic, my head will be disappearing up somewhere it would rather not go! Although the evening is still clear, with the flute exams the next morning plus dozens of other things going on I think it is very unlikely I will make the 27th May. Next one after, perhaps.

Seems to be quite the crowd on March 18th! We are going to Restaurant Jägerburg, which is a very Swiss restaurant, judging by the menu!

Turns out my travel schedule changed and I will be in ZRH on March 18 flying home. Is it too late to sign up?

Well, it was good last time :-) But I already posted the update... As I am maintaining the FT <-> VFT connection I consider it my job!

I will probably try to make it home to Montreux after the do. The trains appear to run reasonably late on a Friday. I'll carry my music with me just in case, though.

Just a couple of days until we get some decent Cordon Bleu! Looking forward to seeing new and old faces!

In the Brasserie Federal at the Hall in the Main Station.

For the April 22nd, I was thinking on trying to take the train back Friday night, as I have a training on Saturday and I can save money on hotel. There's a train leaving Zurich at 22:09 that I'll try to catch. That should leave enough time for dinner.

You've got to really watch out that you leave enough time for the trek back to the station, with a little margin built in. Unlike the way I did it, you need to start your goodbyes a bit earlier. The other tip is, assuming you'll be eating at the same place or in the same part of town, is to try and aim for the middle cross underpassage of the station rather than heading all the way down to the front of the station. This is a passage that crosses under about halfway up the platforms and leads over to Sihlquai.

Unfortunately there is no way I'll make the 22nd April because I have to conduct a performance of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang in Geneva that night.
