It's been suggested on the EK forum that this a very bad weekend to have the Do as it's the Eid (post Ramadan) holidays.

As nobody seems to have confirmed (other than DXB based :) ), maybe a new date would be better?

How about September 4th to September 7th?

Dubai Do 2014 - July 31st - August 3rd

I couldn't do Sept 4-7. I would likely only come in the summer - if there is any way to work around the Ramadan and Eid holidays. PH offers very good summer rates and there are better airfares for those of us traveling, plus it is easier for those of us who have to take off work to do a long weekend in the summer.

Interested in attending depending on the dates. I agree with Pinky that summer would be preferred. The rates at the PH are fantastic in June and early July.

Will keep an eye on the thread to see what the dates end up being.

How about the weekend on 15/16 August?

I don't care I live here but would like it to be a weekend I am here. Drinking contest with DYKWIA.

The PH currently has a sale for 3 night stays between May 20 and September 15 of about 900 AED/night all-in if booked by April 15.

I am very interested, unsure of schedule at this point.

I am cool with any date after end of June.....for now.......:-)

I am only a maybe on attendance so I'm hesitant to discuss dates. However, I prefer not to go places in their peak times. Hotel upgrades are harder, restaurants are crowded, lines are longer and airfare is higher or upgrades scarcer.

Whatever the date, I'd like to do it again this year.

I think we need to come to some agreement on dates in the near future if this is going to work as a formal DO. Summer is a busy time for a lot of people and calendars tend to fill up quickly.
