FT things do happen in Cleveland, example: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/commu...26-2014-a.html
The best way to make things happen is simply to post an idea. Keep it simple, like drinks on Fri night at xxxxx. Low cost, low key event.

I am resurrecting an old thread. I recently moved to NE Ohio for work. I currently live in the Westin Cleveland Downtown but will be moving to Akron/Fairlawn in mid-Sept. Are there still FlyerTalkers in the Cleveland/Akron/Canton area? Do you have any interest in meeting up and trying out the food scene?

of course Symon's places are looked to, such as Lola. One of the best sandwiches I've had in recent years was the homemade fried bologna sandwich at Symon's B Spot restaurant (numerous locations).
West Side Market should be a stop
Cleveland has a number of good delis (unlike Chicago), Slyman's for corned beef
