How did YOU pay for college?
 

In retrospect, most of us are frequent-flyers. And with that distinction comes a somewhat hefty price tag. But of course it couldn't all have come from somewhere. I'd say a fair amount of us went to college and now(?) hold decent jobs to help pay for our ventures.
Having said that, how did you manage to pay for/afford college? Did you live out of a box? Or did you simply work five part-time jobs did get you where you are today? :p

Loans. High five figures. For a degree in English and two minors (Latin/Classics and German).

Sigh ...

The sigh not withstanding, I don't regret it. While I haven't made a lot of money with my education ( and I never expected to), I loved going to school. I'd really like to go back to get an MFA or Masters in the Classics if I had the money.

I did not go to college.

Goverment loans + money my parents set aside in education funds. Resulted me using goverment loans to buy stocks and repaying the loan that way :)

14 years service as an officer in the Navy....

Actually I had "paid back" my training/education "ROSO" (Return of Service obligation) after about 8 years... but I stayed until I no longer enjoyed it!
