Was thinking to participate...being it would be my first time...

What kinds of gifts are usually exchanged? Upgrade instruments or drink coupons or physical gifts or is it white elephant?

Physical gifts at least $50 value. Your recipient will have posted some ideas of types of things they want, similar to the list you'll submit when you enter.

No doubt upgrade instruments would be appreciated if they're available to offer, but that's probably rare.

Physical gifts are exchanged, and can range from flowers to cooking supplies to beer to hotel/airline gift cards, or anything in between. Upgrade instruments are usually greatly appreciated, but it's typically pretty rare that they are given. :)

Not a traditional white elephant... should be a "nice" gift. :)

And contrary to Kipper, lots of upgrade instruments have been given away in the past... I personally had given away 6 SWUs and associated UA Club passes in the past. Ah, the good old days!

I received my first gift yesterday, a $50 gift card for my Nook! Very excited since I'm currently on restricted activity and spending most weekends doing lots of reading.

Thank you Santa! I can guess who you are but won't out you here. I'll post when I pick out some books.
