FlyerTalk Postcard Request For First Grade Class Project
A Delta Air Lines employee who has been helpful to FlyerTalk in the past sent to me an e-mail message that there is a competition at Clemson Elementary School as to which class in the first grade can receive the most postcards from the furthest reaches of our planet, and he is requesting for FlyerTalk members to assist. The postcards should have either the name of the place, a picture of something recognizable, or both; and they should please mention the name Wyatt — one of the students in the class in the first grade which this Delta Air Lines employee knows well — in the postcard.
The postcards should be addressed to: Address removed upon request as of Monday, March 25, 2013 — please do not send any more postcards. Thank you for your efforts! I am uncertain at this time as to what is the deadline and what the class with the most international postcards will win, but if you happen to be somewhere outside of the United States, please take a moment to grab a postcard and mail it to the address above.Thank you in advance. |

But not sure how it would work if I send a post card from china but with a stamp from another country. ;) |
Count me in! I'm headed to Amsterdam next week, so can mail one from there.
I have a postcard from London but as DHalltheway mentions, the postage stamp would be from the U.S. Can you check with your Delta friend on that - ie, does it have to be an int'l stamp too. On a dif note - does it have to be postcards from the most different int'l places or can it be from the same place? I'm meeting some FTers whilst in AMS & can ask them to mail a postcard as well. Plus you've got Gauchos Do this weekend. Cheers. |

They don't want any domestic? Wouldn't it be cool to get one from all 50 states?

Mainly, because that same DAL employee wrote to me yesterday, and knowing her and how much she has helped many of us, I went out today and bought 4 Israeli postcards to send to the school. To legalize Canarsie's post, I do want to say that this employee is an FTer herself. (Community Buzz posts are only allowed to be made about FTers. Otherwise they are moved to Omni.) |

I will send one from NY today. I am not sure if domestic ones counts
EDITED: Saw the rules, as far as possible. Well, I will send one for the fun, but I will call my cousins in Melbourne (Down there) and ask them to do something useful |

Just curious why she couldn't post this request her self ????
She may have asked the Dovster on behalf of the Delta Air Lines employee who originally placed the request. To my knowledge, he is not a FlyerTalk member. While I am awaiting the answers to the other questions posted in this discussion, this request is ongoing for the school year, and bragging rights appears to be the only prize. Thank you to all who have committed to sending some postcards from international destinations outside of the United States! |
I will send a card or two from New Zealand today.

Here is an update with new information:
I hope this answers all of the questions. Thank you again, everyone! |
