I've not spoken with anyone there about this, but I think it'd be easy enough to ask them to seat non-FTers on the other end of the patio area first, and allow our group to congregate in the side area. I think this one might give us the flexibility we'd like since we don't know how many people will show up. http://www.classicirish.com/kinsale-home.php

Thoughts? PM or thread to me.

Might change the response if you communicate more in terms of standing than sitting -- for better or for worse :D. Half-humor, whole-serious. I anticipate that "milling about" will strongly prevail, no matter how late we stay... :)

And if I may make another suggestion: Low background music, please? I'm still hoarse - and partially deaf - from high school reunions :D. Again, half-humor, whole-serious... And thanks again.

I'm also a non-drinker although, after a night with MM, I might need something. ;)

I'm going to reiterate my suggestion of Anthem. No music, no charm, but likely plenty of seating.

As this is not a mini DO than I would like to be there. Or wherever there is.

What's this meeting everyone is talking about. I was told that retraining was needed. :D

We are all learning that miles are worthless and to try something else as an addiction. Oh this is going to be hard for me!
:D

I have a big company meeting downtown this Friday, which ends with a happy hour at a Back Bay restaurant from 3:00-6:00 PM. So I'll already be a bit tipsy by the time I get to the Do. Hope I can manage to last until some of the stragglers get in at 9pm. (Maybe I can sneak away from some of my early afternoon meetings and take a nap instead. :p)

You're a mod on both AA and TS&S?! Are you being punished for something?

Mike

A number of mods from other forums recently have landed in TS&S, led by the Community Director. Boots on the ground. Some are calling it "the surge". (Possibly to be followed by Ambassadors when things are quelled?)

Same here. How do you get there from the Hyatt Regency?

pawtim Sep 20, 2011 5:30 pm

Location: Kinsale, 2 Center Plaza, Boston

I've updated post number 1 with the details of the location.

It's a short walk from the Hyatt on Lafayette -- turn right out the front door, go 2 blocks (which are offset a bit because of a theater...walk along Washington Street for a few feet) to Tremont Street (the edge of Boston Common), and turn right. Tremont becomes Cambridge Street, and the restaurant is on the left side, in a plaza that offers cover from the rain.

See you Friday!
