I'm not too family with beantown. What "T" station is it and how would I get there from the station?

We've arranged for the TSA to do a private search for you before entering the restaurant.

It's pretty easy to get there, but if there is anyone who is nervous about getting there, I work a few blocks from there and would be happy to accompany you. My building is 53 State Street, literally right outside the State Street T stop. Meet in front of the Cosi at 5:00-5:15. I'll be the guy with the black backpack and the Milepoint luggage tag (Sorry, lost my FT one.).

Please PM me if you are going to be walking over with me so I will know to wait for you.

My flight gets into BOS at 5pm. I'm planning to swing my my hotel (Doubletree Boston Bayside) first, and then head to this Do. Since I'll be doing the local travel via T and walking, I probably won't be at the Do until 6:30-7pm.
Let me know if anyone else will be arriving around the same time and we can walk from the T to the pub together.

and just like that, im out. friday will be my only family time for several weeks. gotta take advantage of it. my apologies.

Last weekend I refereed in the California central valley. When I left my car the thermometer read 100. At the match end when I returned to my car it was 104.
Arrive at my hotel and logged onto FT. It was not very difficult after the previous couple hours. :p

I'm just glad we finally have a spot to go to :). If not, I would have suggested Howl on the Moon, always a fun time drinking there. They always have live entertainment as well. Pretty spacious there :D.

Anyway if anyone is already in the city or will be afterwards, I do suggest you check out Mr Dooleys and also The Littlest Bar, near where Dooleys is. The Littlest Bar has a big table in front tha has a tap on it you can pour yourself and it tallies up how many you had and you pay the total! That is a good thing hehe.

Heaps of fun last night! Was great to meet people and put names with faces. I loved it and learned a lot.

Below is a scan of the bar receipt. I collected much of the cash from most everyone but it seemed I came up a bit short. I'm not complaining and we all had many a brew in us, but if anyone, when looking at this, realizes they neglected to put in $, just lemme know and I'll grab it from ya later as I paid this bill on a AMEX GC. And if not then not. Maybe I was just drunk. Now I gotsta go run it off ---arrhghgg

But who cares, cuz it was worth every mile! :D

I enjoyed meeting people for the first time too and the best part about a FT DO is the fact that you are all in a place where you can actually speak freely about your passion! I mean, everyone there knows of travel and miles and hotel gigs! How LIBERATING indeed!

But now wait a sec there mate... there IS a small fee for being there, you know! Yes, you have to pay the DO OP PawTim 1 mile in the airline of his choice! :D:D:D:D:D:D

Actually, I'd prefer one SPG point, since they're worth more! :D I ended up paying in cash that night -- and paper money to boot! (Of course, I'd just sold some coins to get the paper money!)

Thanks to all who helped organize this and put it together! It was really nice having a place to go after arriving in the city, and meeting some local Flyertalkers at the same time. It was also nice to see some of the other mods before our meeting the next day.

Let me know if anyone will be out in the PHX area, maybe we can do one here.
