Love the report. bschaff1 may be younger than his posts, but
you're older. Thanks to the both of you, seanthepilot, Lawrence and the rest of the UA and SATS people. Very enjoyable all round. Michael violist in Phnom Penh, which he prefers to Singapore - a bottle of beer is $1 at the local place ... a big beer is $4 - it's either 4 or 5 liters (owing to a miscommunication I got one for myself, thinking it was a normal big beer of 640 ml; the size became unclear after a while) in an ice-cooled tower just like what we got at Long Beach for 63 SGD. And Ankgor is at least as good as Tiger. |

Simon - I am not sure what you do for a living but if you are not a writer then I would suspect you missed your calling. That was one fantastic recap of a great weekend.^

Over. And Out. So it wouldn't surprise you to hear that the Bali DO continued in fine form... There was great company on the party flight from SIN, led by Bschaff1 who I believe worked his way thru the entire SQ drinks menu on the short flight over to DPS. <sorry for those that missed my FT orchid welcome service> We had a great group to tour and dine with, and when we outlasted the relatively short club hours, bschaff1 proved a fine mixmaster for the latenight crew. Shortly after we boarded the return party flight with bschaff1 and Synd, the TG cabin steward came over to me and asked me if it was ok to give bschaff1 a drink... SQ must have posted his picture on some "watch this guy" airliners board :D |

crap... hate the fact that I missed this DO!
I was traveling in Europe, so at least I was up in the air... just not in the right part of the world. At this time working my damnest to make it to Singapore ASAP... like within the next month, but Monster.com.sg is not very effective yet... after about 50 jobs applied for in the past few days, not a single response yet! I don't care... I will go there anyway even if I have to take a job as a dishwasher at the local McDonalds (although I'm sure with the modernity of the joint you've got ultra-modern dishwashers everywhere, lol) |
