Prometheus and His Sister: Future FTers?

With perhaps a bit of conceit, I am starting a thread to announce the arrival of my son and daughter last Friday (November 12th, ~6:00pm PST). They and their mother are well and currently resting. If FT is still in existence once they can learn to read, perhaps they'll join! They'll definitely have FF accounts by then. I only hope that they, unlike their father, will be close to achieving MM status by the time they hit my age.

So if I'm iapetus, then I guess my son would be prometheus (or maybe atlas?). But iapetus had no daughters AFAIK. Perhaps I chose my FT handle poorly?

(Oh, and I hate to start blaming things on my children at the tender age of 2.9 days, but I've heard there's an FT election going on, only I've been a little too busy to notice. )

Holey moley - twins?! Congratulations - or should that be condolences cuz dude, you are so not going to get any sleep.

And it goes w/o saying that you should start FF programs for them right away & make you have id/password access so you can steal their miles.

Again, congrats - so much better than your fancy fish

Cheers.

Thanks for all of the congratulations! (And thank y'all for indulging a proud new dad! ) We all go home from the hospital today!

Y'know, I've quickly discovered that it's not the lack of sleep, it's the frequently being woken from a deep sleep that's getting to me. I've done grad school; I've dealt with little sleep. What I am not used to is waking up on demand!

Funny you should bring up the fish. Through a quirk of logistics, the fancy fish are getting a nice upgrade out of this! (Their tanks sit in what will be the nursery.)

Speaking of upgrades, it looks like FT might be the full extent of my traveling perks. I'm already going to take a hit on my status next year, though I will still enjoy some status on UA :whew:. But it's going to be a minor miracle if I can achieve status for 2012.

Was I qualified if I've always been OK with children in first?

I am looking forward to perusing the Traveling with Children forum!

They Turn One ... Week Old Today
I can't believe that the birth of these two babies is only one week in the past! And it's amazing to me that that seems so impressive. If you had told me three months that I would consider one week of age to be "old", I would have slapped myself.

Everyone is doing well! I just wish that my daughter would go back to sleep between the 6:00am and 9:00am feeding.
