Where's FT Junior??
 

Following a tremendously successful inaugural Frequent Traveler Awards ceremony I am happy to announce that FT Junior is now out in the wild, touring the world. His first flight will be AS 731 on November 5, 2010. He'll be riding with TalkBoard President and FT Awards Nominations Committee Chairman gleff, naturally in F.

He's picked up one of the limited edition Breast Cancer Research/FlyerTalk tags as his first treat and looks forward to collecting many more.

Please enjoy tracking his adventures with us over the coming years. I'll get a FM/OF site up shortly.

When did the FT luggage tags turn pink?

It's a special "for the cure" version. Randy announced a week or two ago, and they are now available via the FT Store

Hope it's a sturdy statue, it looks bulkier and more difficult to carry/pass around than its predecessory. Congrats on getting the FT Awards off the ground!

I passed FT, Jr along to sbm12 yesterday though my hope was that it would make it to dublin and be picked up by thezipper, perhaps even in time to make it back to the US in a couple weeks and then embark on its first visit to the first class terminal.

I got to meet FT Junior yesterday morning during a tour of the Theo Chocolate factory, although I didn't see him leave. I wonder if the Oompa Loompas kidnaped him and coated him in chocolate...

He missed the trip to Ireland and instead has been touring around Seattle and Washington state in a styling rental car the past couple days. He'll be making the transcon trip back to EWR with me (in F, naturally :cool:) and then we'll figure out the next stops from there.

Seth, why don't you bring him on Amtrak tomorrow to DC? I'd be happy to bring him to Chicago on UA tomorrow afternoon

And from Chicago, how does a nice coach trip on UA to Omaha sound to the big fella?:D

Those folk who designed FT Jnr did a great job. He's comfortable to hold & has a lot of very interesting body contures.:D Observed at the FT Awards that very few people just held him - most explored, like a tactile art work!

Does FT Junior have a flight memory page?

Not yet...I've been a bit busy this week. I'm working on it.

Now that Freddie Junior is happily passing the time with SanDiego1K... when is FT Junior gonna get out flying?

I've got MXP, SJU, and OTP trips coming up and would love to show him around Europe and/or the Caribbean.

sounds good, FT Jr flew first class on UA to Cancun for some warmth, he's quite cold here in Chicago and he is ready to get out of here seeing as the Bears lost (he really doesn't care about the Bears but was happy to drink the kool-aid for a bit).

Anyone interested in taking him for a ride?

I might be passing through ORD in February or March. If noone has picked him up by then, I'd be happy to take him!

I'll take him to CDG in UA C mid-March, or could take him to CHS, MCO, ORD, DEN, SJC, JFK, or any other airport. He could even come along on LH A380 F SFO-FRA with me :)

Well back to airline travel :) sweetwillie called me today & it looks like we might overlap at ORD tomorrow. Assuming flights are on time I'll pick up FTJr & take him w/ me to LA to FT Do. If someone there is traveling before me I'll hand him off. If not then I'll bring him to London Prez Weekend Do, where perhaps someone can take him further afield.

well ft jr almost went to la in f, but am still on plane waiting for decision on mechanical. So missed sweet willie @ ord. I'll be passing through ord eve of 2nd and morning of 9th, so can try again then if he's not picked up already.

Offer still stands to visit CHS on Thursday. I'll be passing through IAD on Saturday night. He could also visit our company job in Jacksonville, and then fly back to MCI from MCO, through DEN.

Need to get to ORD somehow
UGH, the eve of the 2nd doesn't look so good weather wise (tail end of a big stom they keep talking about), but if you do come in, FT Jr can make the quick 3 mile drive to ORD to meet you, seeing as he currently is living so close to ORD.

FT does have an Amtrak Guest Rewards forum.

I am now in temporary custody of FT Junior and would like to get him handed off and travelling again. Here are the current possibilities for him to travel in the next few weeks:

Weekend of 19 Feb - Bergen County, NJ and New York City
Saturday, 26 Feb - St. Louis, MO
Weekend of 5 March - San Francisco, Napa, and East Bay

If you live in any of these areas and want to take Junior flying, please PM me. Otherwise, he is available to anyone in the Los Angeles area.

If you were at ORD on 3/4, I'd take him along in UA C (upper deck ^) to FRA. Any chance you will be near MCI on the weekend of the 26th?

I suppose he could also try taking a trip via FedEx to Kansas, if he was up to it. I'd pay for his ticket.

I was flying out of ORD this afternoon and Sweet Willie met me curbside to do the transfer.

I will be in NYC this weekend and then can take him to MXP, VCE, BBU , and throughout Romania before a quick detour to DTW and back to LAS. I'll shoot you a email.
