Actually I was just doing that since i realized that i had started something here. I thought I'd do that irregularly so that this thread gets bumped up for potential candidates to see (but please don't tell the mods of my trick!). That darn Star Mega thing keeps overtaking my top spot.

I was glad ScottC was elected also. But I didn't mean him. There's another candidate who shared much less common path with me.

I guess my point is answering questions may be important but it's not THE only criterion to get elected. ;)

After you've submitted your application it immediately returns you to a page which appears to be the page you applied from. But there is a small "Application Successful!" message in the upper right.

It would be easy to miss.
