Happy Passover for everyone. Hope you will be very successful for a nice Passover with your entire family at the dinners tonight. There is no eating the bread for 1 week. So I didn't creating the forums today. So let's the speculating about this one.

There was an excellent special on PBS last night about Passover hosted by actor Jeffrey Tambor. It got me in the spirit and now I pass that spirit along to all who observe.

Tomorrow is Matzo day. Tonight was corn tortillas - almost matzo-like!

Really? I didn't have a chance to watch it on the TV by last night. :( Sorry, Guys. I was extremely busy that I have to reading something on the forums and it's importance things to do for me. Oh well! Better luck for next time. If you can alerted with PM to me next time. I will try to watch it in the future.

I flew home yesterday LAX/JFK, and arrived at my sisters house with time to spare. Did I mention that I flew standby. ;)

I saw whole wheat bran matzo on a store shelf last week. A couple pieces of that will definitely last you all week!

I went a seder last night and while getting dressed for it got a bit amused by noting that the label on my shirt noted it was made from 100% pure Egyptian cotton.

Then again, when Moses told Pharoah to "let my people go" he was most likely also wearing Egyptian cotton.

Sorry, I don't speaks a Hebrew ancient either. Only that I can speaks a English.

We have a nice Passover at ours house tonight and there is only 8 people were there. It was great dinners. We won't eat breads, grains & bagels for 1 week. Remember no eating bread, grains & bagels for 1 week.

No pizza for 1 week! Got it? You know better!! :)

Right. No pizza for 1 week. Only you can eat matzos.

Is this why in the course of human history, religions eventually come to feel the need for "reform"? :D

Seriously though, and unrelated, I find it interesting that in my religion Hinduism too, religious fasting often centers around not eating grains that day with no restriction on fruits and vegetables.

Possibly the "agricultural revolution" left diets overly dependent on grains and these customs are ritualized reminders of the ancient attempts to restore balance away from grains. Perhaps, today's "low-carb" diets represent the latest attempt in the same direction.

I usually don't keep Passover after the first two days, but Ms. zcat18 is converting and has talked me into a "me too" honest-to-goodness Passover. Might have to sneak some beer at the Cubs game on Saturday, though... :cool:
