Thanks for the status! Here I was ready to get on the underground part of Metro from Van Ness in the District but snowcheck for next time. Darn, I was going to share SQ's xmas menu and AVE's lunch menu from my holiday trip. Greg, when we reschedule, you have to tell me how SIN Do went.

I'm sorry not to get to meet you all, but it seems pretty obvious that this is the way to go. Stay safe, everyone, and try to enjoy the show...

I will be back in DC the first weekend of April, but a) that's Easter weekend so people tend to be busy, and b) I will probably have family with me and may be dependent on their schedules. If not, this summer for sure (or who knows, maybe earlier, will keep you posted)!

Well, with 10 to 14 inches of fresh new powder expected in DC tonight and tomorrow, what would be a better time to plan a rescheduled happy hour on this slow snow day? :)

I know the votes were for Jaleo last weekend but how about Jaleo in Crystal City instead of DC? It is closer to DCA for those possibly flying in, it is on the metro (with underground pedestrian access) and the parking is free in public garages on weekend (unlike a new 10pm parking limit on Saturday in DC?)

I know it is incredibly self-serving (as I work across the street) but I'll volunteer to make a reservation. :D

When are you thinking about? The weather forecast is actually not too terrible for the weekend, though I am probably dooming myself by saying that. Sunday night would actually be good for me, since I have theatre tickets in Shirlington.

By the way, you can't get quite all the way to the Jaleo in Crystal City underground. You still have to walk outside at least half a block.

How about every night this week a happy hour in a different place! Government has been closed for 2 days, looks like the same tomorrow. I'm "working from home" the rest of the week, a little "drinking lunch" is always good! Harry's Tap Room is a good place to start.

Would anyone be interested in Lunch or Dinner of February 27th or 28th?

Looks like I'll be in town those days -- what do you have in mind?

I don't have any specific places in mind. Anywhere in DC or Arlington would work just fine. :)

Greg,

I'm interested for either the 27th or 28th. What about rebooking Jaleo or new booking at Oyamel Cocina Mexicana on 7th St. in DC? Or pick a place Metro accessible in Arlington.

mhnadel Feb 15, 2010 12:52 pm

I'll be out of town 27-28 Feb, but it just occurred to me that the Adventures in Travel Expo is the next weekend (6-7 Mar) and some other FTers might be planning on going to it. Anyone interested in lunch or dinner somewhere reasonably near the Convention Center in conjunction with that? Or maybe even brunch if somebody has a good restaurant suggestion?

Right now, it looks like I might be able to do the 27th.

I've heard that before ;) :p

No idea at this point, but I'll likely be available.

Hmm, last minute trip just got scheduled. I arrive DCA 2/28 at 3:30pm. Have the next day free as well for lunch/drinks.

Wel,, I do have NR tickets ex-DCA on the 28th, so the likelihood of mmy making an event on Sat the 27th is much greater than most others...
