Credit Line Increases
This is very odd, but according to the Chatbot on the website:
Q. When requesting a credit limit increase, is the credit inquiry a hard or soft credit inquiry?
A. Unfortunately, until we process the request, there isn't a way for us to know if a credit line increase request will be a soft or hard hit on your credit report. For this reason, we have to receive your permission to pull a copy of your credit report before we process the increase request. If you process the request online, you will see a message stating "By submitting this form, you authorize Citibank, N.A. to obtain your credit report."

To request an increase online:
In order to request an increase, you will need to go to your “Credit Home” page, and find “Available Credit” at the top of the page. Then, click on the link that says “Request Increase” to begin the process.

What is the base earning rate of the Sears Mastercard with ThankYou Points?

Is is 5x back on gas, 3x back on groceries and restaurants, 2x back at Sears and K-mart, and 1x back on everything else like the ShopYourWay version? Or is it different?

I don't think anyone here is using the Sears TYP MasterCard for anything other than 3 month offers of at least 10x.

Those can vary from Utility Bills, Gas-Grocery-Restaurant, Online, Travel. 10x to 20x.

Got 15% statement credit on $250 travel spend, up to $60 back! Came at the beginning of the month both as an email and snail mail letter. Glad to see a low minimum spend amount this time. Probably one of the lowest I've ever gotten actually.

Snail mail offer for $70 off $1000 8/15-9/14

Wife got $40 offer email. Common Citi, you need to do better than that.

Got the same snail mail offer for $70 off $1000, surprised they sent it this early as it doesn't start until next week. Last one I got they were actually late in sending so I missed a few days.

I haven't seen anything via snail mail but would it require activation? I'm waiting to see if 15x online spend will come back for Aug-Oct. At present I have 15x GGR, 15x Travel, 20x home improvement in play.

Yeah the mailer had an activation code you had to type in. Said the offer starts on 8/15 or when you activate, “whichever is later”.

I don't have the Sears TYP version, but from what I understand from some reading to find out if I can product change into it. The old sears TYP card only gave 1x TYP on all purchases. The current ShopYourWay version has the 5x on gas and 3x on groceries and dining paid out in SYW points.

That being said, no one uses these cards for the base rewards rate. The base rewards are just the minor appetizer for the main course of targeted offers. Still I'm sad I never got the old Sears TYP version. I would love to get that one over the SYW version.

Delta gift cards purchases are now processed by Cashstar, not by Delta. I would not expect them to code as a travel transaction. (Look at the bottom of the image.)

I noticed this too and confirmed by email that it does count as travel. We'll see what actually hits my account at the end of the month, though

Does the transaction description mention Delta?
