Wanted Miles... Got Points
I made a stay at a choice property last weekend, and got hit with a little surprise. The hotel didn't have my rewards number at check-in, so I gave it to them. In my online profile, my earning preference is set to airline miles; however, I earned points for my stay. I have now found out that if you don't specify at check-in that you want miles, you'll get points.
I called to see if I could get this reversed. They said no. That seems odd, shouldn't be that big of a deal to change... right? Am I stuck, or is there anyway they can reverse the points and give me a .5 Southwest Credit? |
One of the popular FT suggestions is "call back until you find someone who will give you what you want." I would certainly recommend that as this is not an unreasonable request.
