Actually there is a lot going on there if you have lots of money to spend and
know where to go. There are a lot of rich people that live there and they party all night..every night.:D

Almost without fail, they leave there at night in order to bother those of us on the proper side of the river.

I suspect that the differences in opinions on Tripadvisor are, in large part, due to the facts that there is very little crossover between the visitor demographics, and people who spend $300/night on hotels often (mistakenly) assume that they are well situated for tourism.

By the way, I have a friend who works near Jinke Road metro stn, and -- motivated by your post upthread-- I asked her if there was anything of interest nearby, and she told me "nothing at all".

Oh, I'm well aware of that. It's literally just office buildings and one small eating area (probably only open on weekdays too). Pretty boring place to be if you aren't meeting someone there. My coworkers often don't even eat there. Last time we drove to near the Kerry Hotel to get lunch.

There's a Hooter's in LJZ. What more do you need?

Thinking more along the line of this.

That doesn't look like a place that serves unlimited wings...

I think the only thing "unlimited" about these places is you can't get bottle
service unless you throw down a Black Amex Card. Shanghai, the most decadent club scene in China.

I normally try my best to avoid those places like the plague, but have been around the block enough times to confidently state that all accept cash.

Certainly doesn't look like those three people on the couch in the picture are enjoying any of the "decadence". Looks like they'd rather be at home sleeping or at least be somewere in Puxi:p

I've got one of these fancy cocktail bars outside my apartment and the amount of lambos and ferraris parked out in front every night is amazing. It's open air so I like to run by and check out the goods from time to time...ususally very good quality.

Its 4AM, they are taking a little rest before heading over to Puxi where the real clubs open up at 7AM.;)

Hilton Shanghai

I stayed at the Hilton Shanghai last month. I rode an airport bus to within three blocks of the hotel. On my return I used the subway which was also economical and easy to use. The facility was modern and comfortable. The neighborhood is lively and bustling with shops, bars and places to eat.

Did you use Line 2 bus from PVG to Hilton Shanghai? Or are there any other bus options to Hilton Shanghai?

I traveled back to the airport by subway. It is about the same price. A little faster. One line all the way from jing'an. Some trains don't go all the way to the airport. Get off and board the next train in same direction.

Yes. Bus number two. Ride to end of line. You will be a bit less than three blocks from the Hilton.

Bus # 2 doesn't make any intermediate stops. I've been plugging it since day one; the best way to get from PVG to Jing'an. But, anyone going to the Hilton should note that crossing Yan'an Road when the escalators aren't operating is not fun.

Eta: I just passed by there, and am posting to report that the escalators are completely gone, perhaps just temporarily.
