I emailed the executive office at the airport and recieved the following reply.

Thank you for your inquiry. We are currently reviewing the Registered Travelers Program to determine the feasibility and where or not it will enhance the customer experience. We are hopeful to make a decision by the end of the summer and it will be communicated to the media for broadcast.

I am pleased to advise that by late June we will open additional security checkpoint lanes with collaboration with the TSA. We are confident that with the opening of these lanes wait times will be reduced significantly.

That being said I'm emailing the mayor, the entire transportation committee on the Atlanta city council and the General Manager of the airport to voice my concern at how long they are sitting on this decision.
