Oh, Bart, PLEASE... "Veritas" from you? Suppose that applies to your role as a quasi-instructor for these quasi-professionals now.

"Quasi-Veritas" might be a good start for a motto, though...

I use LAX T1 frequently and like the two x-rays to one WTMD setup. It's the x-ray that is typically the choke point, sharing the one WTMD isn't a problem.

It took forever. With the large percentage of non-English speakers and the group of Marines who acted like they'd never flown before (EVERY one had to remove something after setting off the WTMD -- watches, belt buckles....) it crawled.

You're right, the problem was with the x-ray. The problem I have with 1 WTMD is that I felt separated from my bags as "my" WTMD was the one closed (there were still two there, one was closed).

I've seen a growing number of people use non-TSA locks to lock their hand bags that go through the x-ray machine. Maybe they are doing so out of concern for theft by screener.
