Without some objective indicia of involvement in criminal activity, i.e. alarming the WTMD, some finding on X-ray, odd bulges, etc., no American should be subject to a frisk/pat-down. "Random" secondaries, involving pat-downs, bag searches, etc., are repugnant to our Fourth Amendment rights. Congress should hear about violations.

PatrickHenry, when you go through the WTMD or you place your items on the x-ray belt you are giving non-verbal concent for search of your items and your-self. You give them the right for pat-downs, random searches, etc. if you don't wish to deal with that find another way to travel.

See it is not random so I am being lied to. I can't wait to get another SSSS and I'm going to refuse to go through with it, only regular screeening.

When you go through the WTMD you give consent to search of yourself and when you place your items on the x-ray, you give consent for them to search your bags to what ever degree they deem necessary. Your consent waves the 4th amendment because you gave them your permissions for searches and seizure. They do not need probable cause. Their random screening is random. You have every right to refuse to go through with secondary screening just don’t expect to get on your flight. If you don’t want to get on a secure form of transportation get on a bus and then shut up.

Too goddamn bad.

If you don't like reading these perfectly valid complaints, then please feel free to find another IBB to post on. ;)

The horse manure currently being passed off as "security" at airports in the United States is anything but secure or sensible and those responsible for this idiocy ought to be put on a one-way flight to North Korea with absolutely no provisions made for their safety or comfort. They are pure filth.

So your opinion is to just shut down the TSA and let who ever and what ever get on to any plane they want and do what ever they want, you sure know how to come up with "valid whining", but you sure don't have anything to say as to make conditions better other then do away with any attempt of security measures because that just happens to not go the way you think thing should. That's an open-minded and mature though line.

Why don't you read past threads and comments before assuming someone's position on things?

Thanks for filling us in on our rights to take other means of transport, Mr. Smithy. What rights will you grant us next? (So exciting... waiting for a Brand New Implied Constitution to come down off The Mountain...)

Do a search, newbie. I'm not going to re-type all my points just because you're late to the party.

Kool-Aid does an excellent job of easing the pain of the sting.

Why?

Are you just a suck-up of pointless authority or is there some logical reason for your support of the TSA?
