I arrived at ARN a couple days ago from LGW and the non-EU line was insane with the CA flight landing at the same time. Fortunately, this time the officer didn’t lecture me for using my ID card instead of my passport.

Anyone know or have recent reports in HEL if for exit British passport holders can use e-gates?

Had no issue a week ago using the eGates to leave Schengen at Frankfurt airport and enter Schengen at Frankfurt airport on my Canadian passport (I'm a German resident).

HEL now allows Brits to use them on entry and exit.

At Paris Gare du Nord Eurostar, when both the French and British eGates decided they wanted to have a hard time reading passports, including French passports.

Passed the French gate after trying the reader a lot. But wasn't as lucky with the UK eGate rejected my passport after 3 tries.

Got purpose, length of stay and hotel name before getting allowed in. Which took 5 min as the mic on their side was so bad. No issues thereafter however.
