as best as it can be assumed, Precheck is determined by the TSA on a flight-by-flight basis, so there really is no telling.

Hard to tell as the start date for NEXUS members has not come yet so no actual examples. Technically its an international itin so might not be available.Originally Posted by Reid
Over the Christmas break I'm flying from YYC-ATL with a layover in IAH. Will go to a hotel in IAH for the night and re-clear security in the morning. I have NEXUS. Would I be eligible for PRECheck on the IAH-ATL leg?

I believe its trip by trip basis. Out of all my experiences with Pre-check, every single segment clear or every single segment does not clear. Never a mix of yes and no.Originally Posted by FatherAbraham

No. You are not eligible if any segment is international.Originally Posted by Reid

It certainly would be a mix if, for example, some of the flights are on airlines that don't yet participate in the program.Originally Posted by CDKing

Kind of interesting how that works. Originally Posted by RichardKenner

There's nothing on the checkpoint signage that indicates it's only for domestic itineraries. I don't recall anything in the airline emails about that either.
A couple months ago, at SEA (again, sigh). At that time, Pre-check and elite lanes were side by side, led to two side-by-side TDCs. I'm in the elite lane, no one at the pre-check TDC, so she motions me to step up. She checks my BP/DL, then says 'Pre-check is only eligible for domestic itineraries'.
Mildly annoying because 1) Her manner was downright snotty, 2) She summoned me to her podium (five or six feet from the 'elite' podium, so it should have been clear to her that I wasn't claiming Pre-check eligibility and 3) no airport signage and none of the various emails I received ever mentioned the domestic flight restriction, so why would she assume I should know it? (I do, but only because of FT).
