US Airways has an image to protect Absurd does not even begin to scratch the surface. |
....it started with something petty and simply snowballed out of proportion.

He did go peaceably until, it says, he was surprised when handcuffs were put on and then he briefly scuffled. That was the resisting arrest and battery.

Six days before a college football player was arrested at San Francisco International Airport in a dispute that began when a US Airways employee asked him to pull up his sagging pants, a man who was wearing little but women's undergarments was allowed to fly the airline, a US Airways spokeswoman conceded Tuesday. |

Sort of takes the wind out of the sails of those who claim the initial request was totally colorblond, but thank god the female undwear guy isn't taking his fashion cues from prison inmates!

US Airways spokeswoman Valerie Wunder confirmed she'd received the photo before last week's incident in San Francisco and had spoken to Tarlow, but said employees had been correct not to ask the man to cover himself. "We don't have a dress code policy," Wunder said. "Obviously, if their private parts are exposed, that's not appropriate. ... So if they're not exposing their private parts, they're allowed to fly." |
This dude gets popped for saggy pants.. (yeah they say it was his failure to comply and not the pants) but it was the pants that started it all....
yet there is another guy that repeatedly flies in womens lingerie and nothing else, and they allow him to do it!!!! I'm sorry but the dude in drag would be more unpleasant to look at while locked in an airplane than a guy with saggy pants (that you really can't even see since he's SITTING DOWN!) |
SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- ABC7 has learned the San Mateo County district attorney has decided not to file charges against a Bay Area college student arrested after allegedly refusing to pull up his pants as he boarded a flight at San Francisco International Airport. Tuesday afternoon, Supervisor Malia Cohen introduced a resolution calling for the FAA to investigate the incident. She is also asking the airline to implement a uniform dress code for its passengers to prevent future incidents. Why just a dress code for US Air? Why not a dress code for every carrier that flies out of SFO? The TSA can check that we're appropriately attired before we get through the checkpoint. |

He should have just pulled up his pants, moved on, and then pulled them back down once out of the gate agent's view.
