What is so great about BOLD...
Ink Bold also offers deeper benefits than any of the other Ink cards, see the comparison chart linked in my previous post.

Consumer World slams Ink Card
Since I have been getting many solicitations for the Ink card from Chase I was interested to see this assessment of the product in the Mouse Print section of consumerworld.com for March 7, 2011.
http://www.mouseprint.org/ "So, the real deal is that you only get 3% back in selected categories (gas, hardware, home improvement, dining, and office supply stores). Otherwise, this is really just a 1% card. And they seem to exclude superstores, discount stores, and warehouse clubs. Hmm, isn’t Home Depot a superstore or discount home improvement store? And as to the claim that you get “unlimited cash back”, in fact they will limit your extra cash back in the 3% categories to just an extra $40 a month. So what appeared to be a credit card offering a flat 3% back with no cash back limits, is nothing of the sort." There is lots more at the link. |
And as to the claim that you get “unlimited cash back”, in fact they will limit your extra cash back in the 3% categories to just an extra $40 a month. Thanks again, |
Chase improves Ink small biz card benefits
Just saw this press release from Chase come across the newswires and wanted to pass it along.
----------------------- Today, Ink from Chase, the business card portfolio from Chase Card Services, a division of JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE: JPM), unveiled a new rewards program and enhancements to the Ink^SM Classic and the Ink Cash^SM cards. The rewards program offers new customers rapid accumulation of cash or points customized for the small business owner, featuring five points or five percent cash back per dollar spent on office supplies, telecommunication services and cable services. The new features will be available for existing customers in the near future. With Ink Classic, the new points program will allow customers to earn points even more quickly: * Five points per dollar spent on the first $25,000 in annual spend on office supplies, telecommunication services and cable services. Cable services include bundled services such as combined television, internet, phone and wireless service. * Two points per dollar spent on the first $25,000 in annual spend on fuel and lodging. * One point per dollar spent on all other card purchases, with no limits. In addition to the product features and new point accrual platform, the Ink Classic card will also offer complimentary access to over 600 airport lounges in more than 100 countries for one year for two members. With Ink Cash, the new program will allow customers to earn cash back as follows: * Five percent cash back on the first $25,000 in spend annually on office supplies, telecommunication services and cable services. Cable services include bundled services such as combined television, internet, phone and wireless service. * Two percent cash back on the first $25,000 in spend annually on fuel and dining. * One percent cash back on all other card purchases, with no limits. The Ink Cash card will allow customers to easily redeem for cash back, gift cards and more on Ultimate Rewards^SM. Originally launched in September 2009, the Ink Classic and Ink Cash cards are accepted worldwide and offer numerous additional benefits, including: * No expiration date on accrued points or cash * No annual fee or over-limit fees * Free employee cards * Built-in security features * Unlimited 24/7 access to a team of business card specialists to handle service inquiries |
Wow these new features + a good sign-up bonus would be great. 5x points on my FiOS would be great

I suppose "Ink Classic" is the card called "Ink" on this page?
http://www9.chasecreditcards.com/Inkbiz The improvements do not appear to apply to "Ink Bold" or "Ink Plus" cards. |
I currently have the Ink Cash. Couple of comments:
1. Cash back bonus for dining is being decreased from 3% presently to 2% under the new terms in OP. 2. It seems from reading OP that they will bring Ink Cash to Ultimate Rewards, which will be awesome because if you have a Chase Sapphire Preferred you could potentially consolidate the UR points and then transfer them all to Continental/Hilton/Marriott/PriorityClub/etc. Ink Cash right now does not participate in Ultimate Rewards. I am giving serious thought whether I should cancel Sapphire Preferred when the annual fee is due (like I planned) or not. |
I had originally planned on canceling my Chase Sapphire Preferred Card as well but the new improvements were more than enough to convince me to keep it.

(Targeted) Chase Ink Business - 25K points after first purchase - NO fees
Hello,
I just received an offer from Chase Ink business card. - 25000 points after first purchase - No annual fees - 5 points on first $25K on common business purchases - office supplies and equipments - 2 points on fuel and lodging - 1 point on all other purchase - No blackout dates through Ultimate Rewards, and free one year Priority Pass Membership to access over 600 airport lounges around the world. - 0% APR on purchases and balance transfers for 12 months. Any opinions? Thanks. |
25K seems to be a standard offer w/fee waived 1st year. See https://www.chase.com/online/busines...s/ink-bold.htm
|
Chase Ink is not "a" card, it's a family of cards:
http://www.inkfromchase.com/ Based on the features mentioned by koolr this offer seems to be for Ink Classic. The standard offer is 15,000 points: https://www.chase.com/online/busines...-cards/ink.htm However, Ink cards with no annual fee are not eligible to transfer points to airline or hotel partners, unless linked to another Ultimate Rewards card which has this feature (and an annual fee.) |

The 25,000 point offer is listed on my website below in the Credit Cards > Bank and Other Travel Cards page. Does anyone know for sure if the points from the Ink Bold card can be transferred to Continental Airlines and hotel programs without owning the Preferred Sapphire card? If you can answer this, please tell us the source of your information. Thanks. |

I don't think you can transfer the points with Chase Ink classic card. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
