Chase Ink is not "a" card, it's a family of cards:
http://www.inkfromchase.com/ Based on the features mentioned by koolr this offer seems to be for Ink Classic. The standard offer is 15,000 points: https://www.chase.com/online/busines...-cards/ink.htm However, Ink cards with no annual fee are not eligible to transfer points to airline or hotel partners, unless linked to another Ultimate Rewards card which has this feature (and an annual fee.) |

25K seems to be a standard offer w/fee waived 1st year. See https://www.chase.com/online/busines...s/ink-bold.htm
The 25,000 point offer is listed on my website below in the Credit Cards > Bank and Other Travel Cards page. Does anyone know for sure if the points from the Ink Bold card can be transferred to Continental Airlines and hotel programs without owning the Preferred Sapphire card? If you can answer this, please tell us the source of your information. Thanks. |

Any opinions? Thanks. |
I don't think you can transfer the points with Chase Ink classic card. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Though the Priority Club lounge pass probably is more useful than the PLAT. Interesting is, the 25K on Ink Classic is earned via first purchase, versus the 50K on Ink Bold is earned via 3K spent... Seems to me the Classic actually a better deal for low to moderate spender as long as you also have a Sapphire Preferred as one can freely transfer UR pts among different cards. |

American Express Platinum has the best lounge access package of any card issued in the USA. The card itself admits you and two guests to US Airways lounges when flying on any airline, plus AA and DL lounges when flying the same airline as operates the lounge. Platinum also gives you a Prestige level Priority Pass Select membership which admits the cardholder at no charge for an unlimited number of visits (still $27 for additional guests), and this is a permanent feature of the card, not a one year trial. |
Not True. In July of this Year, BoA came out with a series of business "Charge Cards" with the MC logo. I have been a BoA customer for a long time and all my business accounts are with them. The card earns world points (which I can combine with my personal world points from my accelerated rewards AMEX). I choose the World Preferred card, which has NPSL. I am able to charge everything I would have ordinarily run through the business and pay online with transfer from my checking account. They gave me an initial 10,000 points with my first purchase and the card gets an additional 10,000 each anniversary. I believe that these products from BoA were the first "charge cards" any bank offered with MC or VISA, which have to pif each month.

This is not directly responsive to your question, but Chase did tell me that I could not hold more than one Ink card. I applied for Ink Bold and wanted to add Ink Classic. It wasn't just that I wouldn't qualify for a bonus, they said I could not have both open simultaneously. (This was front line customer service, I haven't pursued it further to see if the policy is flexible.)

In case that's not allowed, does anyone know whether cancelling the Ink would make it more likely that I'd receive the Ink Bold and bonus in a few months? Thanks. |

Anyone know if there is a telephone number to call to inquire about the status of an application for the INK BOLD? It's been about 10 days since I applied and I haven't heard anything. (Yes, I know it says usually within 10 days but may sometimes take up to 30 days to process) I've got some big purchases coming up in the next few days and they would really help me get to the $5K spending required within 90 days for the 50K bonus points.
|
I had to do the same thing for a Sapphire Preferred application recently. Waited 14 days without a peep from Chase, had a trip coming up, so I called.
I started with Chase Card Member Services: https://www.chase.com/online/Credit-...er-service.htm The U.S. phone number listed here is 1-800-432-3117 When I called, they quickly transferred me to the correct place and I got card approval. The rep said that the delay was because Chase has been very busy with new card apps recently (for the Sapphire Preferred). |

40K and no min. spend
Just received a 40K points offer in the mail for the INK CLASSIC card with no minimum spend and no annual fee. Has anyone seen a better offer with no min. spend?
I have the Chase Sapphire Pref. so I can combine the 40K with my existing UR points, right? This card has Priority Pass membership with first 2 visits free. I just received the Chase Marriott card a week ago so I'll probably wait until mid-Dec. to apply for this one. |
Yes, you can combine Ultimate Rewards points between different accounts, they do not even have to be yours. You can also transfer Ultimate Rewards points from separate accounts to the same partner account, such as United or Hyatt.

Thinking of applying for the Ink Bold for the 50k. What documentation does Chase ask for when opening a business account? Is it a pain to apply as a sole prop with just your SS#?

Nice. Thank you.

So, I read a blog entry somewhere that said the Chase Freedom and the Ink Bold get bonuses if the cardholder also is a chase checking account holder, pursuant to something called "Chase Exclusives."
We recently received the Ink Bold pursuant to the 50k offer and, since I happen to have a Chase checking account, I called to have them linked and make sure I'm eligible for Chase Exclusives. The hope was to get them linked so I'd be eligible for the bonus before starting my spend. I was told on the phone that in order to qualify, I need the "Chase Ink Bold Exclusive," which I've never heard of and can't seem to find much about. Anyone have any luck getting a bonus with Ink Bold and chase checking? |

Yup. I guess I don't want to try to force an upgrade before I do my $5k spend, in case it messes with the bonus.

INK BOLD
Has anyone noticed that the benefits of the Ink BOLD might have changed? It had the tiered bonuses (7.5k for $25k, 15k for another $25K, and 25k for another $50k). I do not see that benefit listed on chase.com anymore and I have noticed they took the wording out of my most recent statement that just dropped the other day and my previous ones all mention the bonuses. With this new statement the first 7,500 point bonus should have posted as I passed the first $25k, but it did not. I sent a SM to Chase to ask whats going on, will report back.
|
I applied today and I got approved for the Ink Bold with a 30k spend limit. Rep told me i get the the bonus points for tiers of spending. I just got the sapphire last week. I have held a Chase Ink for a year.
The 6 month thing is a myth at least in regards to personal and biz. |
Apparently they did change the benefits of the ink bold. No more yearly bonuses. I was planning on applying for the bold for 47500 yearly bonus if you use 100k

Chase Ink Bold vs Ink Classic
Comparing both cards,
Seems both gives 5x on Internet, wireless etc Seems both gives 2x on Gas and Hotels Bold has $95 annual fee while Classic doesn't. Other than initial bonus, anyone tell me why the Ink Bold over Ink Classic? Is it the tiered Bonus on the Bold? I assume that doesn't exist on the Classic? |
Ink Bold accounts can transfer Ultimate Rewards points to some airline and hotel programs. Ink Classic accounts cannot transfer, but there is a workaround if you also hold a Sapphire Preferred account.

I didn't know that, I thought all ultimate rewards accounts can do the airline transfers. So some Ultimate rewards can and some cannot? |

Note the Ink Classic and Sapphire (not the Preferred version, but the no fee version) do NOT participate in the premier UR program. Unless you have a Sapphire Preferred, you can NOT transfer your UR pts to airline or hotel programs.
