"Cashing In" Chase points...

If I want the cash value for my Chase points I let them know and they will send me .01 for every point. And just to be clear, even if I have the points in a CSR, it's still going to be .01?
The only reason I bring it up is that I ran into a conversation somewhere else and the person was saying it was .015 if you had the CSR.
Thanks

the 1.5cpp redemption is using the Chase Travel portal. for cash it has always been 1cpp.

That's what I thought... portal only. 1cpp for anything else.
Thanks!

You can get up to 1.5 cents using Pay Yourself Back. Most categories are now 1.25 cents but it was much more lucrative during the early days of the pandemic.

You can also transfer points to travel partners; point values will vary from partner to partner:

Do you anticipate a need for future air travel or hotel stays? Converting Chase UR points to World of Hyatt points can yield good value. The value in converting to airline frequent-flyer miles can be very variable, depending on route and class of service -- and award availability, of course.

Oh yeah! I just transferred some pts to SQ for flight in J class. MLE-SIN-SFO $4,200 for 123,000 pts.

If you have the CSR it's essentially 1.25x PYB which is why a lot of people (for one reason or another) who aren't currently traveling and have been stacking Ink referrals/SUB's can unload on places they would typically spend from gas stations, the warehouse entry this quarter is also a nice touch for those of us that use them, and also the annual fee. 1.25x isn't great but if you aren't traveling it's a nice feature for this demo of people.

I have a $10,000 vet charge coming due and am about to cash out a million Ultimate Rewards (1x) to pay for it. The last time I did this was when Sapphire Reserve let you redeem at 1.5x for supermarket/groceries. Is there a better alternative for me other than getting a Schwab Amex Platinum to do the same from the Amex side at 1.1x?

Literally any 2% cash back (and free) card?

I think msp3 is asking if there is a better was to redeem existing rewards for cash, not a different way to earn rewards on the veterinary transaction.

A couple of us were responding to his last sentence: Is there a better alternative for me other than getting a Schwab Amex Platinum to do the same from the Amex side at 1.1x?.

Understood, but opening a 2% card does not allow msp3 to redeem their existing rewards at a higher rate.
