It has happened before. Not against any rules, either. Just bad luck for you, unfortunately.

They pulled TU and EX for me for a Chase Ink Bold app earlier this week.

i do not think it is a bad luck . it might a warning or something else . I am having 4 chase
cards before i applied 2 personal and 2 business in 60 days . I did not use 3bm . should I call them to find out if they really did ?

Why? What are you trying to accomplish?

The pull is already done.

Friend, Chase can and does pull whatever they want. They can pull all three bureaus if that suits them. They can do it every time you call, if they want.

Thank you for reporting this but the real lesson to be learned is - trying to control how many inquiries you have can be a somewhat futile exercise. If you don't want to risk several pulls, don't apply and certainly don't call for reconsideration.

Applied for CSP a week ago (was instantly approved) and they pulled exp+eq both.

Chase always pulls both EQ & EX for me.

Chase only pulls Experian for me.

They can pull all three if they want. Crapital one does and Bank of America has been known to do so.

They may pulled two because there may have been something they didn't like on the first pull. Some places will let you know they will do another hard pull if you're on the phone for a recon. Amex did this to me in July. Not a big deal.

Recommendation to OP.....buy a new keyboard. The one you are using can't configure sentences properly.

I've applied for six Chase cards over the past two years, and Chase has pulled only TU four times and has pulled both TU & Experian twice. It's definitely a bummer when they've also pulled Experian, as that is what Citi and Amex pull in my state (IL).

Does calling the reconsideration line trigger another pull?

I noticed this on every Chase application after my first one. I sent a secure message and they said it was a mistake. They have removed 1 of the three "extra" or "mistake" credit pulls already.

I have had that experience once with Chase when applying for a business card that required a recon call. I have also had Chase recon calls that did not result in a second bureau pull. They usually just pull one, but can pull more than one if they desire.

I had the same experience when I applied last year in Nov.
