Great! I might try it for my upcoming AONEWC4. Did you just call CX in London?

Can anyone who has done this confirm what type of "limo" you actually get?

It's a car service, you don't get a "limo" at this price. See http://www.burgundyglobal.com/

Still a very good deal and a good choice of provider by CX.

I rang today to see if I could get a "limo" on return from HKG on an AONE ticket. The agent said NO!

My fare was not eligible according to the agent I spoke to.

Oh dear, conflicting statements from CX...

I will probably not even enquire given that I will be staying at Paddington - why risk the traffic when the HEX is right there? But maybe I should ask CX to pay the 27 quid for our fares in lieu of a limo. (Prompted by the knowledge that EK pays your Gatwick express fare if they haven't got a car for you.)

Edited to add:
Wait... I'm flying in F... I'll ask them for first-class HEX tickets!

more conflicting answers...

I spoke to CX Tokyo, and they insist that the limo service is not available for XONE tickets (they also insist that CX has a uniform policy and answers to this question, so I don't put much weight in their response...). I emailed CX in the UK, and they confirmed that it is available for XONEs. It seems like the simplest thing is to get the transfer arranged by CX UK by email.

update

I emailed CX in the UK with my ticket number, and they replied very quickly confirming the car transfer. They seem to be happy to honour their commitments, even if other CX offices insist on denying this benefit!

My ticket is ex-BOM, so to confirm what some earlier posters have said, the origin of the ticket is not an issue at all.

A big thanks to christep for sharing this information.

It is shown in post #3 on this thread. You don't even have to search!

Presumably the motivating factor is competition from VS. Still a very nice gesture by CX (and costing them some real money).

I wonder if such a car service is available from the other CX departure cities in Europe?

I took the advice posted here to send an email to the UK sales group.

Today came back the reply that yes I was eligible to use the transfer service after my return to LHR on my AONE.

So it looks like left hand not really knowing what right hand is doing.
