Codeshare upgrades from JAL with AM and mileage accumulation
Hi I have seen a similar thread for AA but not sure if each airline is different, so just to clarify:
If I bought a ticket from JAL that is codeshared with CX, can I upgrade using AM? If so is it only through CS or can be done via CX's system? Also for miles accumulation, would it then become AM instead of JMB?

For mileage accrual, you can ask the AM agent to keep the FQTV field on JMB (and your AM number will be used for FQTR, R for redemption, and / or FQTU, U for upgrade).
