As a Cathay Diamond member, one thing is puzzling me. where do you actually get these vouchers from? From the title I thought they came with the pyjamas (and I fly First only rarely, so assumed that was why I did not have any). But there seem to be more of them floating around than that....

So the vouchers are floating around inside the pajaymas? I have a few sets of the pyjamas ... I guess I ignored the paper in them!

Surely most people flying CX FC have AC at night in Hong Kong.

I think the reason they ask one to fill up a form is just for profiling. I had never received any email or text from Pye. On my last visit I wanted something I had bought before. The store attendant was able to look it up and found me an exact one within minutes.
Anyway, the handkerchief set is $480 if I recall correctly. So exchanging for one with a $500 voucher is marginally less value compared to purchasing a shirt or polo, not that $20 is a huge difference for most HKers.

500 a day average (inc rest day) means 15k... +5% mpf still below 16k
anyways, a more reasonable way to put the statement should be, $20 is hardly a lot for those who have the pye voucher.

I had a pretty good experience there. The shop assistant understood that I was there for the first time and immediately pointed out some of their cheapest shirts that were quick-dry / wrinkle free.
Walked out with a very nice fitting, light blue shirt that I don't have to always iron after washing, for the price of 980 HKD after the PYE coupon. A total steal.
Attitude and excellent customer service can sometimes be a two-way street.
