//I know some cards (e.g. SC AM card) do not offer miles for insurance. Do you know any cards will give at least some miles? Currently I am using HSBC VS, CCB Eye, Citi PM & SC AM. Appreciate any advice!

Any CCB?

//Never use Alipay...will you still earn miles using SCB AM or HSBC Red?

SCB AM for goods purchases https://www.hongkongcard.com/forum/show/25112 #10

//Interesting...wonder if Apple Pay still works

HSBC Red? No bonus for Red on Apple Pay. The only miles bonus specifically for Apple Pay (other than the temporary HSBC Mobile Pay promo) is BoC i-Card $1.5/AM up to $1,111.12/month.

//I am trying to redeem 2x Business tickets and it's so damn hard

Premium cabins then. Not Economy. Aligns with our observation in this forum that airlines are struggling to fill Economy on Australian routes but are having good yields on Premium Economy/Business.

Insurance - never use CCB Eye to pay before. I will cancel this card when I receive HSBC Red. In such case, I will use Citi PM instead

Alipay - looks like we won't earn miles for Utilities. Is it still worth to open an account?

Uber - it's an App so it's logical to think it's considered as online. Probably will put on HSBC VS (overseas) or SCB AM

CX - lol I don't fly PE or E so will try a different route

Thanks very much for your tips

I called MB CS and they confirmed no change at this moment. Nevertheless, I will transfer 10K miles (max) over from HSBC to MB to AM

If you do it on Fri/Sat/Sun with mobile payment https://www.redhotoffers.hsbc.com.hk...cial/mannings/

Bit early this year. Maybe they want to do two rounds

You can combine this offer with Mobile Payment promotion. $6K will give 1,160 RC

Citi PM doesn't earn any points in paying bills of any kind. Keep your CCB eye

Will earn

SCB AM will incur 1% on HK rides.

SCB AM on Alipay

Or better still CCB eye if you have that.

Citi PayAll

Has anyone tried Citi PayAll. Seems the charge is HK$0.08 per AM. Anyone knows if you can pay anyone on that and if there are any cap to it. Thanks

One can pay at maximum HK$50000 per month, with 1% as Service fee. I used Citi Payall to tackle with some kind of bill that requires Direct Debit ONLY from SAVING account, like Private Club (e.g: HK Football Club) monthly subscription fee.

The handling fee is now fixed at 1% for Citi Payall

I finally got the HSBC Red card. I also have the HSBC Platinum and Premier cards. Looking at the Red benefits (4% online, 2% supermarket, 1% other), is there any reason to ever use my Platinum or Premier cards again (outside the 5x Red Hot Rewards categories)? I'm assuming Red does not stack on top of the 5x reward categories (so I should still use my Platinum at Park N Shop for the 5x rewards).

I'm booking some plane tickets soon. One from cathaypacific.com and the other from an OTA. Is it safe to assume that both would qualify for the 4% rewards if I purchase with Red?

Thanks!

Can change at any time. However, previously set monthly instructions still use the handling fee prevailing at that time.
