Lounge Access

Hello!
I'm going to book these flights:
TPE > HKG 21:35 > 23:35 Cathay Pacific A333
HKG > REP 08:20 > 10:05 Cathay Dragon A320

I need 2 seats... I can find two award seats in Business on the first flight, but just one on the second flight. In case I book both flights in J for my girlfriend, and Business+Economy for me, can I get lounge access airside for the long layover in HKG?
I have no elite status.

Thanks!

AFAIK, no lounge access as it's not a same-day transfer. J tickets without status don't allow guesting either.

There's also an extensive FAQ/Wiki on lounge access, in which I presumed this has been covered in-depth. Lounge Access and Other Lounge FAQs

And just so you know, unless there's IRROPS or else the lounge does not stay open the entire night.

For 8+ hours get a hotel. Marriott Sky City is a few minutes away.

You can also try post on the Lounge meet up thread. There are alot of flyers with access to the F or J class lounges at HK that are willing to help you guest into the lounge!

Excellent point. The Regal Airport Hotel could be another option. If the reason OP is considering booking J award tickets for lounge access, I would recommend going with an economy award (assuming the standard award is available) instead. As other FTers have mentioned, no CX lounges are open for 24 hours.

After reading the comments, decided that 9hs overnight in HKG was too much... so I finally bought two revenue J tix via KUL with a shorter connection.
Thank you very much to everyone!
