CX will not be retrofitting 777s with the same seats as A350s, however they will be adding leg rests to the existing seats:

Flew B-KPF on Dec15 CX889. New IFE system. Footrest for PEY, do not choose the bulkhead seats. Aisle seats are much more comfortable and larger legroom. Not sure whether j and f have new screens. PEY still have the old ones.

Flying out of JFK on 1/1 and curious how to tell what equipment number I'm on once on board so I can update thread if relevant. Is this information populated on any flight tracking site or is it just up to us on the ground?

You can go to flightradar24 and look it up. Before you take off you should be able to track it in real time from that app also. Or you can read it on the fuselage or forward landing gear doors from the terminal.

CX 841 PEY looks pretty full on 1/3 as well. Just checked it looks like there is a blocked seat next to me and no other seats available.

B-KPJ had a leg rest. It isn't the same as the A350 though. Just a pad that pops out, no bottom to it. Also much harder to control IMO.

Just flown CX101 9th Jan and 77G was upgraded with the new leg rest. Much better than before.

However, the screen does seems to be bigger, is it just me?

Flying CX776 and CX880 in 2 months. Specifically chose seats 30K and 32K because they have leg rests. Have all the PE seats on CX776 and CX880 been fitted with new leg rests? If so, I might change my seats.

All non-bulkhead seats in PY cabins on all aircraft have footrest. What about the leg rest and padding on the foot rest, ie the retrofit?

Corrected above, leg rest it was.
IFE was not updated on the one with legrest and cannot recall anything special about the foot rest....Are they suppose to upgrade the foot rest on those too?
