They couldn't add another frequency to CTS? CX must make a killing during the winter season on that route.

They got regular CX580/1 service.
Peak season (long-weekend) will got CX582/3 as well.
Real peak season, they got CX2580/1/2/3

so there will be max. 4 flight per day to CTS.

FYI, UO is aiming for Hokkaido destination, if it's real, HKD/AKJ will be on the list of CX network. so more flights for CTS is not necessary.

Would there ever be a possibility of Cathay Pacific flying to Malaga?

Extremely unlikely. It's a tourist route (i.e low profit) with no chance of onward connections, and its significantly smaller than the two airports they already fly to in Spain. There are no long haul schedules of any kind so it would be very surprising if CX turned up with a 14 hour flight.

That would be awesome! But won't happen. A decent connection with little decreased layover time at MAD, BCN or ZRH would be very appreciated though.

even QR is doing seasonal to AGP and EK has no service yet
it is extremely hard to see CX or Asian Carriers to operate
