CX J class rt ex TPE to CGK

Hi all,

I am taking CX 797 HK to CGK eta 2255hrs and if i will to do a turnaround and depart back to HK on CX 798 etd 0005hrs, do i have enough time at CGK to do this? Is there a CX transit counter for issuance of ticket during that short time?

Need some expert advise on the above.. The next flight out is CX752 etd 0515hrs and i just dread the lounge at CGK to spend so much time there.. Any advise to that and the things i should take note of at CGK?

Thanks everyone in advance for all the advise...

They are not accustomed to anyone asking for transit at CGK but I had someone from CX help me, took my passport to get stamped (had to pay the visa on arrival fee) and then I was good to go. I took the HKG-CGK flight and was on the same plane for the trip back to HKG about an hour and a half later. The crew was surprised to see me.

David, thanks for the response.

The someone from CX is FA? i am assuming the FAs onboard will have to follow the same procedure to board the next flight back to HK and i can follow them? i am worried of getting lost inside the transit area not knowing where to go at that late hours....

OP, if you have a quick search I think you will find plenty of information that has been discussed previously.

the last time I did CX797+798 turnaround was back in April 2013. If nothing has changed, at HKG the ground staff will not issue you inbound CGK-HKG boarding pass, because CX798 departs next day.

Once you disembark, follow the sign to transit (not immigration), give them your passport and they will assist you with departure tax (not Visa On Arrival, cash only) and issue you a boarding pass. It usually takes around 20-30 minutes while you wait at the transit desk (they have to go to the departure check-in area to issue boarding pass). Once completed someone will escort you to the departure hall.

Thanks and i will try that as i am relatively new to FT.

The departure tax is 150k RP if not mistaken right? Someone mention that i could do online check-in and print out my boarding pass prior to this sector and save some waiting time for the issuance. Hope that will work out and i can just proceed to departure hall right after paying the tax..

I have never printed a boarding pass myself during online check-in. The departure tax will required someone to go to the check-in counter on your behalf therefor they are likely to give you a proper boarding pass (aka same wait time).

tell the ISM on the inbound so they can alert ground staff - theyve done this before for me on direct turns at MNL when I needed a BP
