77D Variant?

This is a 77D seat map provided by CX. It's my coming flight for HKG-LAX.

I find that it's a bit weird that Row 67 is separated behind the divider. Is it true?

And, is it the one that might be prepared for Y+? Since the Row 30 - 32 is missing Row HJK.

This may be slightly off topic, but... I've never seen every single seat taken on the seat map... crazy.

I've flown on this configuration recently. At least on the planes I was on, there is no divider before row 67, and there also isn't that divider after row 32.

I couldn't figure out why they moved the lavs. At first I thought the one before 33HJK would be for the separate Y+ cabin when that comes along, but they'd need to free up even more space to clear a path for pax on the ABC side to get over to it. Maybe it's as simple as J pax complained about the noise when the Y lavs were in front of 30DEG (and right behind the last row of J)?

Try getting an award seat on that route.

The missing 30-32HJK indicates this is retrofitted from 77A

Not that it really matters, but there was never a 30HJK (nor 30ABC) on a 77A/D - row 30 always consisted of DEG (designated as bassinet seats) only.

Seat availability is status-dependent.

So are there now no bathrooms in front of 30DEG?

Correct - the only lav in the forward part of the first Y section is on the right side, directly in front of 33HJK.

I guess that is good for us since we are in seats 31ABC in a couple of weeks on a 77D. That is except for the bassinet in 30DEG

33HJK seats

so does this mean that the 33HJK seats would have extra foot room like the usual row 30 seats on the A330 CX planes?

I have a question about this layout. Do the toilets at the front that replaces row 31/32 on the right side, have their doors face across into the cabin?

I ask because I am booked for this layout and Im sat in 32A. Im wondering, if when people use the toilet, the door and therefore light, will shine in my face. Has anyone had experience , is there a curtain?

The light indeed will shine on your face and it is a constant problem for me when sitting in the exit rows in long haul.

The lav on the right side faces the exit door and the FA jump seat, so there shouldn't be much light shining on you in 32A.

This is only true for the old 77A and newly-delivered 77D. No such problem on the retrofitted 77D.
