I am going to travel J class by CX from Auckland to HK, not sure how many pieces of baggage allow me to be checked. Not heavey, but I have two baggage needs to be checked. It's anyone can tell me, am I able to check two pieces? Many thanks

The basic allowance is 30kg in total, and it doesn't matter (within reason) how many pieces that's in.
If the ticket involves sectors to America as well then the rules are different, but two pieces would still be OK.

Just out of curiousity, has anyone who was within the weight allowance (excluding piece rule sectors) ever been told they have too many pieces and need to consolidate into less pieces?Originally Posted by christep

How many pieces would that take?

I think the most number of pieces I've ever checked in a single transaction before would be 17 pieces, but that was for 5 passengers. No complaints there from ground staff, but a few dirty looks from other passengers.
