YVR Lounge?

I'm flying YVR-HKG next October. Leaving at 2:55 am. I notice that it is open later in "Summer" (1:30 am) and earlier in "Winter" (11:15 pm).

Is October still considered summer, so that we will at least have lounge access until about an hour and a half before our flight? Is the BA lounge any better?

Hi Hoc,

I think the BA lounge ( by gate B64) whilst very nice, will close just after the BA flight to LHR leaves ( c 2030).

Regards

I was in YVR with a 4 hr connection. Thinking about going to the BA lounge and park ourselves for like 45 mins until they closed with their flight departing...like 2 hrs before the CX lounge opened up. The dragon lady at the desk admitted one of the premium pax right before us, and when we came up, she said : " why would you bother to come in for 45 mins "...with an attitude like that, I just took my CX FC boarding passes back and walked out. Cathay has never done that to me, even in LHR or NRT...where the AA lounge is almost right next door to theirs. They just took down our AA EXP numbers and welcome us into the FC part of their lounges.
I am Plat with CO, DL and NW were doing the same thing to me....questioning me why I go to their lounges, when I can go to CO.

I'm not sure how accurate the lounge's opening times listed on the website are. I remember being worried I wouldn't get to spend much time there. I used the lounge last month before the flight to JFK and it opened well before 2130. If I'm not mistaken, I entered around 2030 and there were already a handful in the J lounge (no one in the F lounge when I entered). It was a great lounge.

YVR is a beautiful airport in my opinion, but my one complaint with the "natural" lighting in the seating area in front of the food concessions in the non-US international area (the one place with tables) is that it gets too dark to read or do much work by early evening.
