I am surprised you rarely see it. I for one always change to my Shanghai Tang bottom's atleast if not the full PJ when I am in J.......It's all about your comfort....after all that's what you pay for, so you should make the most of it....even if u do look "stupid"......

I concur with christep. Generally CX is not very lenient with giving out extra amenity packs etc.

SQ on the other hand is :), the Inflight Supervisor simply has to write it in his report.

But you can only come to the conclusion that people want to show off that they have flown in F class before and they probably exhibit a similar attitude when dealing with cabin crew.

Or that a cheap set of PJs from an airline is useful when they arent supplying them to you.

I have a HKG-JFK flight coming up and am a tad disappointed that CX dont give out PJs for very long flights in J so will probably take my own - QF F as my Shanghai Tang are packed in a box in the house somewhere...

Actually other than QF and VS which gives out PJs in J Class I am not aware of any other airline provides this (NH has a cardigan lounge ware but not a full set of PJ0.

I think if you do travel a lot, it is best to invest in a proper set of PJ as I find most airline Pjs (incl the QF one) are rather flimpsy and do not look that great after a few wash.

Which is why I'll wear them a few times, and then move on to the next set from the latest F flight. Would be nice if I flew F all the time and never had to bring my own, but sadly don't have enough $ or miles...

VS always asked me to return the PJ when disembarking; they are supposed to be only on "loan"...

I have not flown VS for a year, but that was what they said (clean & reuse). is QF giving out the PJs in C?

simongr Jul 1, 2008 9:31 pm

yes on quite a number of the long overnight flights.

Pyjamas in CX Business on overnight flights ?

We are booked with CX (no First Class offered on both segments) on their Airbus 330-300 service CX640 from Doha to HongKong and with the same type of aircraft CX111 overnight Hongkong to Sydney in (humble) Discount Business class (booking class I).

Do we get PJs or will we be out of luck ???

Thanks in advance for all your inputs,
juan516.

No PJs offered in CX J, sorry.

windchaser777 Apr 18, 2015 5:50 am

Sorry, they won't have PJs since there still aren't any flights to Australia with an official First Class (they're only carried on flights with seats sold as F). I also haven't heard of CX changing their PJ policy since 2008, so it would be extremely doubtful you'd get a set even if you asked on a flight with F.

I'm always surprised when this topic pops up.

-It's not especially difficult to place sleeping clothes that you like into your computer bag

-$3 PJs aren't cool
