Cabannas

I haven't used the cabannas in a while as I haven't transitted HKG for over 2 years.. But I used one just now while transitting from NRT to LHR, and I was a bit dissappointed... The cabannas were just in pretty bad shape I thought.. The sliding doors didn't close properly, the rainforest shower wasn't working, the leather seats look a bit worn, white paint was cracked.. Just didn't feel as nice as it once did..

Perhaps CX needs to renovate them or touch them up a bit? Anyone feel the same as I do?

You must have had an off one. The one I used a month ago was fine. Although I do find using a Cabana a bit of a weird experience generally.

I don't really see what the big deal is with the Cabanas. Used one a month ago -- I preferred the bathrooms in the Qantas Sydney First lounge. In fact, I preferred the whole lounge in Sydney altogether - it just seemed too noisy in The Wing.

I disagree.

I tried the QF new lounges and find the showers, although nice, but don't even have the basic amenities right - Shower Gel.

I mean they just provided a bar of soap instead.

The shower rooms in the Wing (F section) IMO is better than QF and there are more shower rooms as well (Qf only has a limited number)

As for catering the Wing and Pier is still better than QF.

Is there other food apart from in The Haven? I didn't get around to trying anything else after having a meal there.

On another note - Is it just me that found having to open a new bar of soap every time I went to the bathroom in the Syd F Lounge as quite wasteful - can't be good for the environment! They need some sort of liquid dispenser.

The Haven is the main restaurant and even the quality and variety there is betterr than the QF F Lounge.

As for the soap in QF F class lounge, I really don't understand WHY didn't they introduce shower gel instead, at least people can take it with them if they don't use it all up.

They used to have MB back in the old F Class lounge

I agree.

The Wing needs a rethink if CX wants it to remain the preeminent Oneworld lounge.

What about the AA lounges?

I still think even with the new QF lounges the CX ones are better and offering a more rounded and complete offering
