Sorry if my report on the other thread caused some confusion. The fact that I was allowed into the CX F lounge with a KA Y Class boarding pass (on a KA flight number) was a one-off. Strictly speaking I should not have been allowed but the lady who was manning the lounge counter on that day recognised me and having chatted to her quite a few times outside at the F check-in podium in the past, we addressed each other by first name! Rather than feeling "important" I actually felt a little embarrassed - I hope she didn't feel I was taking advantage her friendliness!

Anyway, to confirm, no F lounge access for CX DM travelling on KA until KA joins oneworld :(

Unless and until a Diamond reports being refused entry when flying KA then all the evidence so far (one person being granted entry and the MPC hotline confirming that it is possible ("subject to capacity control") says the DMs have F lounge access. I don't care how many times it's called a one-off favour - if it happens every time then de facto access is allowed.

Isn't that a CX trademark, offering unofficial benefits to Diamonds that can be relied upon? Half the value of Diamond are the unofficial benefits, from what I can see (making it maybe the best of the OW programs, if you are based in HKG).
