You will have access to the CX J lounges in each place. The HK one (in fact two of them - The Wing near gate 2 and The Pier near gate 63) is the nicest so you probably want to maximise your time there.
Great thats what I thought just chaged my flight to have about 6 hours there.

even if you were flying in f and could access the f sections of the wing/pier i would say that you would find yourself bored.
maybe youll find another fter in hkg and they will take you into the f section but the j section for 6 hours will be a bit much,
enjoy :-:

If the schedule fits and you haven't seen much of HK before then 6 hours might be enough to take one of these tours:

Thanks for this I love HK and find it amazingly easy to get around was thinking of taking a quick trip to Stanley. Anyone know what museum is it that has the Cathay DC-3 in it? Worth a visit?

The Science Museum. This page has a pic of the DC3: http://www.lcsd.gov.hk/CE/Museum/Sci...etransport.htm
and you can navigate from there through the rest of the site.
I haven't visited myself. From the website it looks fairly kid/education focussed.

Er... Stanley is like so far away from airport. You need to go to Hong Kong station, change to bus that takes you to STanley (or you might need to go to Admirality for bus) and sit on 40 min bus ride. There's nothing to see there, in my opinion. You are far better off going to MongKok's lady street.
Science museum is in Eastern TST and much more accessible. But it's not fun unless you are sciency kind of person, in my opinion... it's like a destination for school tours and nothing comparable to a world-class museum in other city. Having said that, I support the tourism of HK so I do wish you make a visit there and help the HK economy.

It's worth a visit if you like science museums. If the plane is the only attraction, there's not much to see. I go there everytime I'm in Hong Kong, but I travel with a twelve year old, so I don't really get much choice in the matter.Originally Posted by aa767flyer

Thanks for this feedback again really appreciated. You know I usually do some shopping in Stanley and skip Mongkok but perhaps will try this one out as time is thing. As last time I was trying to work out some business ideas and had little time for HK and spent most of my trip in Shenzhen. Anyone know any good Dim Sum place for a late breakfast/ early lunch? Within easy access of airport train?

As Fakecd indicated, Stanley is quite a distance from the airport. It is one of those outlying places in the Southern coast of HK island. So it depends what your interest are. If you are interested in beaches and natural sights, then Stanley is a good bet. However, if you only want to do shopping which you seem to be leaning towards to, then Mongkok is by far the better place. As for good Dim Sum, there is too much to list in HK. Your best bet would be to go to the chain restaurants such as Maxims, Hang Fook Lau, etc.Originally Posted by aa767flyer

Great going to keep all these in mind. I am getting ready to head off to the airport in a few hours just packing now. I thank all of you for your help. You made my trip to the Cathay board a real pleasure and though I don't fly CX often I look forward to coming back and giving you the details of my trip. Thanks again!

For Dim Sum near the Airport Express station on HK then the obvious answer is the Maxim's in City Hall, which is 5 minues walk from HK station. See here: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showp...00&postcount=2
