Unable to access Cathay website
This is driving me NUTS. Cathay just say the website is "under maintenance". HOW CAN AN AIRLINE BE SO POOR?????? This is what I get when clicking on "check in" in one of their emails..... But was getting same/ similar a few days ago when trying to change a booking and then again when trying to log in to change my seat! Days and days of this crap.

I’ve had this- but on mobile/ if the app’s (earlier) redirected me to the browser for a redemption.
Try clearing the cache? psst: Mercure Icon’s rooms are really tiny! |
I've noticed this when I've got a particular VPN on. Maybe try a different browser or a different internet connection, or incognito mode
|
Prob due to browser cache and cookies.
As others suggested, clear those, use private mode or try different browser |
I tried my two main browsers and eventually got in on a third. But other websites don't require me to clear cache and cookies just to WORK ffs!

Can I just add - completely off-topic - 37,042 unread emails! Is that what "non-executive" means? :D
And this is probably due to over-aggressive VPN blocking. I've had it intermittently on a variety of sites that use edgesuite/Akamai CDNs over the last few months. Which is a right pain for those of use who prefer to make the Commies' surveillance system work a little bit harder. |

Error 18.xx is a security block. Likely if you are using Opera's or any kind of shady VPNs. Use a more common browser like safari or chrome with no extensions, no adblocks, nothing tampering with the functionality of the computer / browser

I have the same problem on Opera and Firefox. I do not use any kind of VPN. I got an email from cathay which said "there is nothing wrong, nobody else has this problem, clear your cache, cookies and history". So I did. Same problem. Useless.

PS - it fascinates me how much interest folks take in my desktop!

I have this Access Denied issue whenever I try logging into my CX account on CX homepage.
As soon as I disable my AdGuard (MacOS using Safari), then I am able to get through. (Adding cathaypacific.com to the whitelist of my AdGuard didn't help. I still run into the issue unless I temporarily disable my AdGuard.) |

My opera has a built in setting to block adds, so I turned it off. Rebooted. UPdated Opera. Tried again - nada. |
similar thing happening now:
(website) "Service Unavailable - Zero size object The server is temporarily unable to service your request. Please try again later. Reference #15.d4455b68.1733837768.1244db66 https://errors.edgesuite.net/15.d445...37768.1244db66" (app) "We have encountered a connectivity issue. We could not proceed your request as we were unable to reach the booking system just now. (tech-7d1f6a" |
I've had this error for ages when using Firefox (MacOS). Just tried again today, which is why I'm posting.
All cookies/cache deleted, uBlock Origin disabled, Enhanced Tracking Protection off. Nothing helps. Tried private window, tried safe mode. The only solution is to use Safari, which works without issue. |
A different website/Cathay App query in case anyone has answers: I quite like having all current OW bookings which I've booked under my Cathay FF number appear in the one place on the CX website/app however this doesn't seem to work in all cases. I find QF and JL bookings seem to more regularly pop up whereas QR seems hit and miss irrespective of whether TA booked or I have booked on the QR website. In some cases I've had bookings randomly appear then disappear. I can use Tripit via my work which is quite good however ideally would just be able to see all in the one place in my CX account. Grateful for any tips on this!
