Fly Me To The Moon , I think mixed inbound-outbound like J HKG-SYD Y SYD-HKG is still readily possible.

What is not so easily possible is SYD-(J)xHKG-(Y)oHND-(Y)xHKG-(J)SYD

I was able to book MNL (CX J) - HKG (CX Y) - HND (JL J) - MNL last month in 1 PNR.
